About UsRehoboth Christian School, originally named Amanzimtoti Christian School was founded in January 1989 for the purpose of educating children, both academically and spiritually, using a Bible based curriculum. Initially housed in a local church building, the school started with 30 pupils and 4 staff members. The name " Rehoboth" is found in Genesis 26:22, "He (Isaac) moved on from there and dug another well, and no one quarreled over it. He named it Rehoboth, saying, "Now the Lord has given us room and we will flourish in the land." With the change in management in 2005 also came a name change to trading as East Coast Christian College. In 2007 we adopted and adapted the National Curriculum Statement of South Africa. The school provides a broad and comprehensive academic education relevant to the learner’s physical, intellectual, social, emotional and spiritual needs. The curriculum fosters independent and critical thinking and develops in learners a sense of self-worth and self-confidence. The aim is to equip learners with, inter-alia, moral and spiritual skills that would help prepare individuals for society. TO ENSURE HIGH EDUCATIONAL STANDARDS THE SCHOOL PROVIDES: · Having highly qualified, committed and motivated educators · Extra and co-curricular programme. · Manageable classes. · Strict learner discipline. · Developing strong Christian character, moral and spiritual integrity and ethical values. · Implementing strict rules and regulations. |

Mission Statement" ..... that the spirit of God is in you and that light and understanding and superior wisdom are found in you." (Dan 5:14) Our mission is to impart a Christ-centered education which would form a foundation for each learner to integrate effectively into this generation. This would necessitate the prioritizing of education into its proper spiritual perspective i.e. a vehicle to mould and shape learners into realising their destiny and purpose in God. |
