East Coast Christian College caters for learners from Pre-School to Grade 12. All our classes are SMALL and so individual attention can be obtained. Classes range from 15 to 25 learners.
At East Coast Christian College we follow the Curriculum and Assessment Policy of the National Department of Education. We have started implementing CAPS. A comprehensive Life Orientation programme is offered in every grade to develop and encourage confident, responsible choices from our pupils. HOMEWORK Homework is set according to sound educational practice. A homework notebook is required and parents are requested to sign this each day to indicate that the child has spent the requisite time on homework and made a satisfactory effort. |

Foundation Phase Grade R- 3 The Foundation Phase spans the child's first few years of formal schooling. Vital skills, knowledge, attitudes and values are established during these years. During this Phase we lay the foundation for each child to achieve success in Languages and Mathematics, and through Life Skills learners develop a healthy self-esteem, good work ethic, social skills and love of learning. We make every effort to recognise, acknowledge and develop the strengths, talents and potential of our young learners. There is currently only one class in each grade. Each class is taught by a suitably qualified and dedicated Foundation Phase teacher. |
